Boat lift · floating boat lift

Floating boat lift for boats from 1,500 to 8,000 kg

Specially designed for heavier boats. The floating boat lift lifts your boat with HDPE tanks that are raised and lowered by air pressure.

No obligation, and tailored to your boat and mooring.

Strong, floating and low-maintenance

The floating boat lift is made to measure for the weight of your boat and uses HDPE tanks of various sizes, operated by air pressure. The system is fully automatic, with or without a boathouse. We calculate the required buoyancy and the structure for each project.

This gives you good protection against damage to the hull from wave action and algae growth: an investment that benefits the lifespan of your boat. The galvanised steel structure with stainless steel bolts is suitable for fresh and salt water.

Questions about the floating boat lift

How much weight can a DutchBoatLift lift?

The quay boat lift comes in three lifting classes: 750 kg, 1,000 kg and 1,200 kg, fitted with an electric winch as standard. For heavier boats from 1,500 to 8,000 kg, we supply the floating boat lift with HDPE tanks operated by air pressure; we calculate the required buoyancy and the structure for each project. If you are unsure about the weight of your vessel, we will come and measure the situation with you in person.

Which boat lift best suits my sloop or boat?

For boats and sloops up to and including 1,200 kg at a fixed bank or quay wall, the quay boat lift is the ideal solution. For heavier boats from 1,500 to 8,000 kg, or for open moorings, choose the floating boat lift. If you also want to protect your boat from wind and weather, the lift can be combined with a boathouse.

How is the entry height determined?

We determine the required entry height for each situation, looking at the height of your boat, any superstructure and the desired clearance.

Is the boat lift resistant to salt and brackish water?

Yes. Our floating boat lifts have HDPE tanks, a galvanised steel structure and stainless steel bolts, and are suitable for both fresh and salt water.

Can a boat lift be installed under an existing boat shelter or in a boathouse?

Certainly. A boat lift can be fitted seamlessly in an existing boathouse or under an existing boat shelter. DutchBoatHouse also supplies complete combinations of a new aluminium boathouse with an integrated lift.

How long do installation and assembly take?

Installing a standard boat lift takes half a day on average and is carried out expertly by our own installation team from Grou. A complete boathouse or a larger custom structure takes more time. We agree the planning and the necessary preparations with you in advance.

What warranty does the boat lift come with?

Every DutchBoatLift boat lift comes with a standard 3-year warranty on both construction and operation. The warranty covers defects that are demonstrably the result of a material or manufacturing fault. Damage caused by, for example, incorrect use, collision, overloading, insufficient maintenance, modifications by third parties, an unsound base or bank revetment, or storms is not automatically covered. The exact warranty conditions are set out in our general terms and conditions.
